25th September 2015

The John D.Spicer was launched at 14.37 to a 36 foot motor yacht trawler, that was 9 miles North of the Porthdinllaen Lifeboat Station. The ‘Dawn Seeker’, with 4 persons on board, had suffered engine failure and was subsequently towed to a position approx. 6 miles south of South Stack, where the tow was transferred on to Holyhead RNLI at 16.40. The John D.Spicer returned back to station, and was re-housed, re-fuelled and ready for service again at 18.00

Dydd Gwener diwethaf, Medi’r 25ain, lansiodd y John D.Spicer am 14.37 at modurfadwr bysgota, a oedd 9 milltir i’r Gogledd o orsaf bad achub Porthdinllaen. Roedd y ‘Dawn Seeker’ (gyda 4 person ar ei bwrdd) wedi torri lawr, gan fod diffyg ar y ddwy injan fodur. O’r herwydd, fe gafodd ei thowio gan fad achub Porthdinllaen, hyd at 6 milltir i’r De o Ynys Lawd, ble’r trosglwyddwyd y rhaffau drosodd i fad achub Caergybi. Dychwelodd y bad achub yn ôl i’r orsaf ym Mhorthdinllaen erbyn 18.00
