Dawn's doing Snowdon for Dad and Porthdinllaen RNLI please support her

Local girl Dawn Hutchison is going to climb Snowden in May 2009
to raise funds for the Porthdinllaen Lifeboat in memory of her father and local
fisherman Maldwyn Jones who was tragically lost at sea last
April.

Maldwyn was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather, born and
raised in the small fishing Village of Aberdaron on the Lyn, North Wales,
Maldwyn met Viv and moved to Cheadle, Cheshire to live and raise
there two children Haydn & Dawn.
2 years ago Maldwyn moved back to the Lyn to finish his working life on the sea
where he always wanted to be, he loved his new job as a Whelk Fisherman and
always came home with a smile on his face after a hard days work.
Unfortunately on the 28th April on a cold afternoon, the big man upstairs
decided he had plans for Maldwyn, we got the call that his boat had been found
with no-one on board going round in circles just off Trefor point and a huge sea
and air rescue began with the life boats from Porthdinllaen and Trearddur Bay
and Rescue 122 from RAF Valley was scrambled. Mobile coastguards from
Porthdinllaen & Llandwrog made shoreline searches and local fishermen joined
later in the evening. It was five weeks before the sea brought him home and we
finally laid him to rest on the 28th June,
Dawn is now going to walk up Snowdon to raise funds in his memory for the men
who searched for him tirelessly.
She will trek the 3560 feet up the mountain on May 2 next year in memory of her
father,
She is aiming to raise over £1,000 in aid of the Porthdinllaen RNLI crew that
worked so tirelessly in the search for her father.
