Commentsa good way to raise money for the porthdinllaen life boat, would be for the crew to make a cheeky calander. Barber posing with his big anchor, lewis bach with his helmet, hench with his tool box, gwyl bach in his life ring and the lovely Midwood clasping his frare!! I would gladly take the photos, and I am sure the ladies of Morfa Nefyn would all buy them!!!!
CommentsIn order for RNLI porthdinllaen to raise money, I think that they should do a calander. For eg Robert Barber should pose quite modestly with nothing but an anchor. Lewis Jones the same with a life ring, Hench nothing but his tool box, Midwood with his flairs, and the rest of the crew like wise. You only need 12 men for the months, and I am sure the ladies of Morfa Nefyn would all buy it.

CommentsThe Charles Henry Ashley was commissioned from Portsmouth and Frank Foale took his engineer and brought the new boat round the coast to Porthdinllean to begin her duty. Last I heard about her was when I heard she was the stand in boat at Penlee after their disaster. Frank Foale lost two of uncles and a great uncle in the Salcombe disaster of 1916 with the wreck of the Western Lass.I miss Frank Foale , he was my Dad.
Commentsi went on the lifeboat and it was great you do a great job.
CommentsMy Dad Frank Foale was Coxwain of the Charles Henry Ashley and on station from about 49to54 or thereabouts, and as a child I spent my earliest years in and around the boathouse as he was always on call. It moves me to see that the work that he held so dear is still in such safe hands. May your Gods Bless You All.
Commentshi people what you up 2
Commentsi think they do a fantastic job
